If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place:

The Frustrated Expert

You KNOW what needs to happen. You see the problems before they blow up. But nobody's listening, and you're tired of being the cassandra of your organization.

The Department of One

You're juggling compliance, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and about 47 other things. You need frameworks that work FAST and strategies you can implement TODAY.

The Rising Star

You're newer to HR and want to build your career on a rock-solid foundation. You refuse to become one of those HR people who just pushes paper and avoids confrontation.

The Burnt Out Warrior

You've been fighting the good fight for years. You know HR is strategic work. But the constant emotional labor and lack of recognition is wearing you down and you need to remember why this matters.
Here's What Nobody Tells You

HR Is NOT a Support Function

For too long, HR has been seen as the "support function." The department that ticks boxes, ensures compliance, and occasionally ruins everyone's fun with "policies."
But here's the truth that business leaders are FINALLY starting to understand: HR is strategic work.

When you improve employee engagement, you're driving retention (which impacts the bottom line). When you develop leaders, you're building bench strength (which impacts scalability). When you advocate for better work-life integration, you're sending people home in better moods (which impacts families and communities).

Think about that power for a second. We literally influence whether someone goes home stressed or fulfilled. That's not support work. That's transformational work.

But here's the problem: Many business leaders still don't get it. Some HR professionals have even started to doubt their own value.

That's exactly why Dr. Keri Ohlrich and Monica Frede wrote "The Way of the HR Warrior", as a love letter to the profession. To remind us (and show business leaders) that HR has immense power when we step into our role as strategic partners instead of order-takers.

The CHARGE framework isn't just about developing skills. It's about reclaiming your power to influence from the breakroom to the boardroom.

You have that power right now. You just might need to sharpen a few specific skills to wield it with confidence.

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Meet Keri

CEO and Co-founder - Abbracci Group
Dr. Keri Ohlrich has spent 25+ years in the trenches of HR from scrappy startups to Fortune 500 giants. She's seen it all: the 9am new hire celebrations followed by 10am crisis calls, the executives who "get it" and the ones who...don't, the late nights wondering if she should just keep her mouth shut (spoiler: she never does).
With her co-founder Kelly Guenther, Keri built Abbracci Group on a rebellious idea: HR should break free from its "personnel" stereotype and step into its rightful role as a strategic powerhouse.
Keri holds a PhD in Human Development and Organizational Systems and is certified in change management, cultural assessment, and multiple personality frameworks. But what really sets her apart is her unwavering belief that when HR thrives, employees thrive—and when employees thrive, everyone wins.
Co-author of the best-selling book "The Way of the HR Warrior" (which has been called a "must-read" by Dave Ulrich and featured on multiple "top HR books" lists), Keri is on a mission to spark an HR revolution, one courageous conversation at a time.
Beyond her consulting work, Keri serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children, proving that her commitment to helping people reach their potential extends far beyond the workplace.
